Electric outage information for the 14-county WNYIMS coverage area, generalized to county level. WNYIMS publishes only what a permitted machine-readable source reports — it does not scrape utility outage maps and never publishes customer addresses. To report an outage or a downed line, contact your utility directly using the links below. If a line is down, treat it as energized and call 911.

How this page works

  • The primary machine-readable source is the U.S. Department of Energy / Oak Ridge National Laboratory ODIN county-level outage dataset.
  • Direct National Grid, NYSEG and RG&E adapters exist but stay disabled until WNYIMS holds a documented endpoint and written permission.
  • Counts are generalized to county level. Absence of a record means nothing was reported, not that everyone has power.
  • WNYIMS is an independent, nongovernmental monitoring platform. It is not a utility, not a dispatch centre, and not an emergency reporting channel.
